I consider myself a very lucky girl to received an invitation for a lavish pampering session @ Villa Manja Spa. All thanks to Tammy @ Plussizekitten & Pantene !! ^_^

Lying in the heart of Kuala Lumpur's concrete jungle, this hidden gem is definitely a retreat.

Walking through the garden, I was lead by the pebbles path to the entrance of the spa. I was taken by surprise to see a stone crossing surrounded by a koi pond inside the living are. It was just astonishingly beautiful and welcoming.

Beautiful entrance leading toward my happiness ~

Beautiful roses for us ~

Walk across the hall I then met with some familiar faces ~ a few of the other ladies were already chatting away happily while waiting for the rest of us to arrive. We were served with a glass of warm ginger tea and some light snacks before the session start.

Little Ros, Alicia, Tammy & Jone from Pantene

Living area filled with lemongrass scent ~

Each of us was introduced to our respective masseuse and lead our way to the designated room. The relaxing scent of lemongrass oil filled the air as I walked passed the hallway down to my room.
2 beds for you and your love one

The session started off with hair pampering and scalp massage using natural oil from plant extract to soften my hair and improve the blood circulation on the scalp. Combine with the scalp massage technique used, it encourages blood circulation which reduce clogged follicles and promote healthy hair growth.

Following that was the fully body scrub using green tea and cocoa to remove dead skin cells as well as to brighten up dull skin tone. This is my first time getting a full body scrub and I felt a little shy. From neck down till the sole of my feet, every inch of my skin felt so soft and radiance in just 30 minutes.

Roses petals ~ slices of lime

After washing away the green tea and cocoa bits, I re-entered the room and was getting ready for my steam bath. In a pool of warm water was rose petals and lime. Roses are know for their anti-oxidant and brightening benefits will lime works very well to remove dead skin cells.
Plus they both smell wonderful too .

Roses are red, lime is green - Soaking in them and I get nice skin ~

After getting my skin warm and moist, the massage begins. The masseuse first heat up the massage oil and gently drizzle it over my skin. I requested a more gentle message as I find it more enjoyable to relax my muscle by not having too much pressure on it. I falled asleep soon after the massage begin and only back to my senses when I was asked to turn over. I had such a wonderful and enjoyable time, I wish it never end.

Mysterious little bottles which contain the secret behind beautiful skin & relaxing mind ~

We were then served with some light refreshment and chocolate fondue ^_^ slurp ~ while Jone gets ready to set up her little presentation. We were shared with information of Pantene latest range which had recently launched in the market namely ~ Pantene Nature Care. It was the creation of combining the best of both worlds from science and nature.

Chocolate Fondue ~ Yum Yum

Some background sharing for Pantene

Happy ladies ~ Look at their gorgeous smile ~

We had flowers too ~
Benefit had organized a workshop 2 weeks back @ Yuzu, The Gardens to introduce their latest skincare collection ~

Its range include "it's potent, eye cream", "triple performing facial emulsion SPF 15 PA++", "foamingly clean facial wash", "moisture prep toning lotion", "refined finish facial polish", "total moisture facial cream","remove it makeup remover" and "ultra radiance facial re-hydrating mist".

So radiant ~ you need a dim switch ~

While it may seem to be kind of extensive but the basic steps require only few products. We start of with using the makeup remover to remove any makeup, sunblock and dirt on the skin. Follow by using the "Foamingly Clean Facial Wash", it's very fluffy and light yet does not make my skin feeling dry.

fluffy ~

To prep the skin for better absorption, use Moisture Prep Toning Lotion which contains vitamin E acetate, natural oat & meadowsweet extracts that helps purify & smooth the skin and help reduce fine lines. Apply upward from neck, across the jaw line and finish at the forehead.

Prep ~ prep ~ "It's important you know"

Now there's 2 option of moisturizer, one for day & one for night. *If you have oily skin, just go for the lighter version. Triple Performing Facial Emulsion contains cucumber extract that hydrates the skin and allowing it to feel fresh all day. It also comes with SPF 15 to protects the skin from UV ray.

Light weight & oil free ~ SPF 15 too

If you prefer something richer, go for the Total Moisture Facial Cream. It contains mango butter to lock in and reinforce skin's moisture barrier. Suitable for normal to dry skin and those who spend most of their day in air conditioning environment.

Oo so mango ~ rich rich cream

While most people do face problem such as dark eye circle, puffy eyes and fine lines. Benefit skincare range offers It's Potent! Eye Cream which contains apple extract to help boost collagen and also loquat extract to fight off radical damages. * Tips - massage 4 points under the eyes, 1 point on the inner brown bone and 1 point at outer corner of your eyes.

Glow glow ~ happy face =)

Now your skin are all well taken care off and you can experience moisture-full skin all day long.

One of the blush from my previous review on the MAC Wonder Woman collection is this pink brown shimmer duo blusher. Similar to the Marquise D, it’s packaging is designed in comically red and blue with the Wonder Woman emblem on the cover. Open up the case and you will find wonder woman’s head gear incorporated in the gold rim design for this compact blush.

As you can see, it is rather intense and very visible on my cheeks. The brownish pink shimmer is very sheer in color, which is good because you do not want to look like getting bruise from a punch or something with a pink brown patch in your face. However, I don’t really fancy the color as it comes out rather red pink sort of color and I think it looks a little weird on me. Kinda like having sensitive skin reaction on my cheeks.

I’m not sure if this is common for MAC products but so far non of my compacts fell apart like this one. It was still looking good the when I first open it and to my horror, the whole blush fell off its metal case when I reached home. The sides shattered and bits falling off all over. Luckily I manage to salvage it in one pieces and place it back into the pan. I realized this happen only to this particular palette in this collection. I browse back the launch photo and saw those display/makeover units also suffered from the same problem

Pink, lace, sparkles, bright, sweet, fluffy, cute ~ It’s MAC Quite Cute collection for Spring 2011.

Heavily infused by girl is sugar & taste exceptionally sweet elements - MAC collection kill all the lass’s heart out there.

What’s so sweet about a girl? What about a plump, juicy & kissable pout? ^_^ Can’t agree more. While I may not be a diehard fan of pink lips, simply because you all would have know me by now that I’m rather tanned. I look horribly pale with sweet colors especially when it comes to pink.

The idea is to pink something according to ones personality. I love bold colors, otherwise I’ll go for natural tone. MAC Quite Cute collection has a superb combination of both natural (quite) and super bold shades like for instant - Candy Yum Yum.

Bright neon pink shade for your lips is a really go for the kill. While making it matte is even sexier. Unlike any other shades you find anywhere, this is super, highly pigmented which if you happened to “Ooops, I slept with my lipstick on” and be prepared to have it looking pinkish for the next day or two.

It’s very interesting to find an intense pink that works for both pale & tanned skin. It just highlight your feature and burst in color. Unfortunately, there isn’t much design done to the packaging for this collection leaving this beauty hiding inside the conventional black tube.

However, this beauty is no longer available in store because its sold out everywhere (in the world). Believe it or not, its current bidding price range between £16 - £37 which cost about RM 80 - RM 185.

I personally recommend this for anyone who want to re-do the barbie look, retro 70’s, Halloween, geisha look and photo shoot.

Why do people grow their hair? Why do we put so much effort grooming and taking care of it? Why some have short hair? Some have long hair? Perm ones, straight ones and colored ones.

Bounce, Bounce ~ It's so fluffy and bouncy (no curling thongs, just hair dryer & comb)

I guess, it’s just the nature of living things to look beautiful, attractive and appealing to the someone else. People are proud of their hair, pay $$$ to groom them but how many actually know how to really take care of it?

Hair Analysis ~ Scalp your are almost certified ~ (O)_(o)

Honestly, my hair are almost like hay ~ yup it’s dry like draught in summer and coarse like straw. I’m a “dye” hard fan and I can never stand my hair looking the same for more than 2 months. On top of that, the brilliant me have no proper hair regime at all. Not until I attended the My Hair My Man Woe workshop organized by Himalaya.

Familiar faces? Hehe

If any of you are familiar with Himalaya’s product. It is 100% Herbal based hair care which protects and nourish the hair from root to its end. While it offers various products to address different needs but there’s one thing common in it. Which I called it the Himalayan regime.

Hair Savior ~ Go away damaged hair & oily scalp!!

I personally have oily scalp which cause my hair to break and creates dandruff. So I was advice to use their Protein Shampoo - Volume & Bounce. It helps to create volume and wash off flat/greasy hair. This range contains Soapberry extract, cucumber and licorice which act as the natural grease fighter that cleanser the scalp throughly to remove and reduce excessive oil. While given that my hair condition is rather “damaged” I picked up the Protein Conditioner - Repair & Regeneration which uses Aloe as the natural moisturizer, Chickpea & Bean sprout which are both rich sources of natural protein to rebuild the damage hair follicles. On top of the old school shampoo & conditioner, Himalaya offers even more. They also have a Revitalizing Hair Oil which contain Thistle, Indian Gooseberry, Fenugreek, Chickpea and Bael Tree which help to nourish the hair and promote soothing effect to the scalp. It creates a shiny, bouncy and volumized healthy hair.

Pampered ~ Hair oh hair, is your time for SPA ~

To start with, my hair is drench in the Himalaya Revitalizing Hair Oil (you will find this very common if you go for indian spa) followed by a wonderful 15 minutes head massage which helps to promote the blood circulation of the scalp. There’s no rinsing require and you can just follow by shampooing your hair with the Himalaya Protein Shampoo (whichever range that suits you most). Do not ever scratch your scalp as this may injure your scalp and there may be fungus infection that can cause serious dandruff and sensitive scalp problem. After rinsing off the shampoo, follow by applying Himalaya Protein Condition and in my case, heavy conditioning. Lastly, apply the Himalaya Protein Hair Cream (leave -in) before blow drying your hair and you may style as you please.

Base camp ~ hidden somewhere deep and high ~ ^_^

Of cause, my session was a brisk since it wasn’t me doing all the washing. Thanks to A Cut Above Academy Sunway as they arranged their student stylist to guide us on the correct shampooing techniques. It was my best hair washing session especially meeting a whole bunch of familiar faces.

Everyone enjoying getting their hair pamper ~

All of us are surrounded by deals, discounts and rebates everyday and everywhere. I personally enjoy hunting for good and valuable services especially when it comes to hair grooming.

Recently I had bought 2 vouchers from WEBUY after being bugged by my BF keep mentioning that he needs a haircut. So I was out hunting for good place to avoid ended up look like he just got run over by a lawn mower or something.

So I came across this deal by Scissors Empire @ Mont Kiara Solaris. For RM 28 - it includes a hair cut, wash & blow and also an organic hair treatment. Plus there's also an additional RM 20 discount voucher to be use on your next visit.

While unlike other salons, this place has only 2 hair designers. Upon sitted, I was served with a cup of warm chinese tea and some magazines were brought over for my reading. I started off with getting my hair wash and getting the hair treatment/

The products used were called RE>>LIFE and the whole treatment has to do with putting back the "life" in to my hair. (Its been almost dead ever since the frequent coloring & constant styling). These products are made organic and its from ITALY (not sure if its imported or made there though). There smell heavenly, non chemical smell at all.

Unlike other treatments, this doesn't require wrapping nor heat. All you need to do is just applies it on the hair away from the root and leave it for 15 mins. After a couple of rinses and drying off my mane, Ken (hair designer) prepare to do the ceremony. Cutting off every single strand that has almost paralyzed because of my obnoxious activities to it.

It was a surprise outcome, almost shocking thought. (Cause my hair was perm but I walked out of the salon with straight hair) O_o

My verdict ? Perhaps you can judge it yourself. Definitely gonna be a re-visit.
